MMS Chamber Orchestra
Chamber Orchestra meets Thursdays after school from
2:45 - 3:35pm
What is Chamber Orchestra?
Chamber Orchestra is a smaller group of musicians who audition to be in the group and work on performing more difficult music. We meet once a week after school and students are responsible for preparing the music on their own outside of class. Students perform two concerts a year, perform for the school and perform at the Great East Festival in May.
Auditions will be held at the end of May for the upcoming school year.
Why is it important?
This ensemble gives our students the opportunity to perform in a small group setting and work on advanced music techniques such as musicality, blend and balance. This is an excellent outlet for students who wish to study more difficult music.
